Success stories returning baby birds to parents

I picked up this young Red Wattlebird from a vet in Mundaring last night. It had been found on the ground at a local school. After speaking to the rescuer, I took the baby back to where it was found, and sure enough Mum was waiting for him. After putting him in a tree in a denser part of bush nearby, she followed and immediately began feeding him again. He should be able to fly upwards in a few more days, but is still a branchling at this stage. They are very vulnerable at this age, but he is far better off being raised by his parents in the long run. This was very satisfying to watch!
